Credit where it's due
If I'm seeing this correctly, it looks like Nemo stepped up to the plate and edited -- manually, and one at a time -- the tags for 288 posts from 'character:fuel' to 'character:chico' all in one night. Hot damn! That's a crazy amount of dedication (and patience with Gelbooru), and I commend you for that.

To be fair, I modified an existing script 'The Booru Augmentation Project' to do some quick and dirty tag replacements in bulk. It is slow, but it is better than nothing.

Well, I'll be damned. I had no idea this existed until you mentioned it. I can see this making things far less of a hassle for me in the future.
Might I ask what you modified to do that? There's a lot of things I've noticed needs mass revisions (e.g. every post made before the 'character:' and 'species:' prefixes started being used), but just don't really have the patience or willpower to do so one at a time.

It depends on your web browser and coding experience, but the file 'optionsPage.js' loads code so that your user profile has additional features displayed. One of those is an option to run a search for all images with the tag 'tagme', and then remove it from that image and save, for all results. It is an easy enough change in JavaScript to replace that search parameter, and what that tag is changed to, so I use that quick hack instead of something more flexible and portable. If all of that sounded like nonsense, perhaps you would prefer to drop me a line on Discord and I would be happy to run for you any mass-edits you have documented.
